Kirby Amigurumi
Kirby is a beginner video game crochet pattern. The finished plushie measures approximately 3” tall by 4” wide. This pattern is worked in the round and a stitch marker and row counter are highly recommended.
What You’ll Need:
1 128g ball of Loops & Threads Impeccable Yarn in Soft Rose (size 4)
1 100g ball of Lion Brand Feels Like Butta in Cranberry (size 4)
Stuffing
Blue; black; white; red; dark pink felt for facial features
Scissors
Darning Needle
Stitch Marker
Row Counter
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
ss=slip stitch
st(s)=stitch(es)
F/O=fasten off
inc=increase
dec=decrease
Gauge:
24 stitches x 24 rows = 4” in single crochet

Pattern:
Head:
Use pink. Starts at the top of the head.
1. Ch 2. 6 sc in the first ch. (6 sts)
2. 2 sc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. 1 sc, inc. Repeat around. (18 sts)
4. 2 sc, inc. Repeat around. (24 sts)
5. 3 sc, inc. Repeat around. (30 sts)
6. 4 sc, inc. Repeat around. (36 sts)
7. 5 sc, inc. Repeat around. (42 sts)
8. 6 sc, inc. Repeat around. (48 sts)
9 - 15. Sc in each st around. (48 sts)
16. 6 sc, dec. Repeat around. (42 sts)
17. 5 sc, dec. Repeat around. (36 sts)
18. 4 sc, dec. Repeat around. (30 sts)
Begin stuffing.
19. 3 sc, dec. Repeat around. (24 sts)
20. 2 sc, dec. Repeat around. (18 sts)
21. 1 sc, dec. Repeat around. (12 sts)
22. Dec around. (6 sts)
Ss and F/O. Use the leftover tail to sew up the remaining hole.
Feet:
Use red. Starts at the toes. Make two.
1. Ch 2. 4 sc in the first ch. (4 sts)
2. 2 sc in each st around. (8 sts)
3. 1 sc, inc. Repeat around. (12 sts)
4 - 8. Sc in each st around. (12 sts)
9. 4 dec. 4 sc. (8 sts)
Begin stuffing.
10. 4 sc. Dec x 2. (4 sts)
Ss and F/O. Leave a long tail to sew to the body. Repeat for the 2nd foot.
Arms:
Use pink. Starts at the tips.
1. Ch 2. 6 sc in the first ch. (6 sts)
2. 2 sc in each st around. (12 sts)
3 - 4. Sc in each st around. (12 sts)
Ss and F/O. Leave a long enough tail to sew to the body.
Face:
Use the black felt to cut out the eyes and mouth. Use white felt for the eye shine and blue felt for eye colour. Use the red felt for the tongue on the mouth and the dark pink felt for the blush on Kirby’s cheeks.
