Parfait Chunky by Premier yarns has been taking the amigurumi world by storm. Parfait Chunky was everything I wanted Sweet Snuggles to be and more. I ordered some balls of Parfait Chunky to see what the hype was about. Because the yarn was so popular, I could only get two colors to design a Piglet crochet pattern.

What Is Parfait Chunky?
Parfait Chunky is a size 6 yarn by Premier. It is 100% polyester and machine-washable. Perfect for plushies! Despite this yarn being classified as super bulky, you don’t need to use a large gauge hook to crochet amigurumi.
Color:
For lovers of color, Premier made sure you would not be left wanting. Parfait Chunky comes in practically every shade of every color, from bright to pastels, and the colors are vibrant. Even neutral lovers will be happy with the selection available to them. It means that you can find a suitable color for any project!
Feel:
Parfait Chunky is soft and squishy and didn’t send a shiver down my spine. If you have dry hands, it can be irritating to work with for prolonged periods, so I suggest having a tube of hand cream ready!
Ease Of Use:
Although on the bulkier side, Parfait Chunky is easy to use for amigurumi shaping. The stitches are easily visible when you’re working, so you won’t have to struggle to feel for your stitches like you do when working with a faux fur yarn. Shedding does happen when sewing pieces together or frogging, but very minimal.
Skill Level:
Premier Parfait Chunky is an easy-to-use yarn with minimal shedding. It’s perfect for amigurumi beginners, especially since there are plenty of free and easy patterns to be used with this yarn.
I think Premier Parfait yarn is a 10 out of 10 for me. I found no flaws in it. It fixed the hole of disappointment that Loops & Threads Sweet Snuggles left in my heart. If you want to use a chenille yarn for chunky amigurumi, choose Premier Parfait Chunky. You won’t be disappointed!
