Hi everyone!

What’s your favorite Disney film? Big Hero 6 is definitely in my top 10, so that’s why I designed a crochet Baymax plush pattern.

This Disney crochet pattern is for amigurumi artists with an intermediate skill level. Mind your stitches because Bernat Velvet stitches can be difficult to see when using a smaller gauge hook.

I had originally designed a Baymax amigurumi pattern with size 4 worsted yarn and it didn’t turn out great. I wasn’t over the moon about how my robot turned out, so I never published it.

Once I discovered Bernat Velvet yarn and how it made amazing amigurumi, I wanted to revisit my crochet Baymax pattern and give it an update now that my skills have improved.

I think my new Baymax amigurumi is adorable. It is way more Recognizable and with a lot more personality to boot! I’m absolutely in love with it. I hope you enjoy using my free crochet pattern to make your own robot Baymax amigurumi from Big Hero 6!

Baymax was so funny and caring, and when it comes to animated robots he has my heart (sorry WALL-E). I don’t think Big Hero 6 got the love it deserved.
