Meet Summer, The Adorkable Amigurumi Designer!

Hi, my name is Summer! In my spare time, I like to crochet for my mental health. I live in Toronto, Canada, with my husband and border collie Mia. When I’m not crocheting, I am forever unhappy with my Animal Crossing Island or starting a new farm on Stardew Valley.

Summerbug Crafts was created as a DIY home décor on Etsy. As I stumbled through that, handmade beauty products, and more. I found it hard to stick with one thing. Eventually, I found crochet and fell in love. My Etsy shop quickly transitioned into selling crochet patterns and products. This continued on and off from 2015 up until 2020.

During the pandemic, I had a lot of free time and decided to take Summerbug Crafts seriously and create a website. I loved to crochet plushies but often couldn’t find patterns of the Pokémon I wanted to make, so I decided to design my own and share them with you!

Amigurumi became the focus of Summerbug Crafts and allowed me to share my love of pop culture, video games, and everything cute with the crochet community and beyond.
